| The Rudolf Kempe Society, founded in London in 1980, and its German Branch, launched in Munich in 1982, are both registered charities which, through a variety of activities in England and Germany, work independently as well as through an exchange scheme towards the same goal in professional education: to bridge the gap between the means of training generally offered by established institutions and the ever-increasing demands made on young musicians entering the profession.
Through the same scheme, today’s audiences of concert goers and music lovers – usually excluded from the working process and thus condemned to the passive attitude of consumers – are invited to participate in the Society’s educational activities and to gain insight into the creative process of interpretation. In this way, the Society’s work is recognised as opening up new dimensions of communication and understanding.
On these ground, The Rudolf Kempe Society offers have been recognised as opening up new dimensions of understand for everyone who cares to listen.
This website invites you to join Cordula Kempe and her fellow artist in their appreciation, enjoyment and gratitude for the riches - sensual, mental and spiritual - that are entrusted to them as artist, and to share their awareness that they belong to everyone, irrespective of culture or social background - personified as they are by Apollo, God of Art, of Light and of Healing
