On Saturday 12th June we will celebrate Kempe conducting by showing video screenings of concerts with the Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony and Munich Philharmonic Orchestras, recorded between 1961-1975.
In two sessions given at the Studio at the Muses, Stratford upon Avon, at 5pm and 8pm respectively, all those who are interested in Kempe’s work, especially those who have never experienced his music making in the concert hall are cordially invited to enjoy it in these remarkable, as yet unpublished recordings, and to join those who have fond memories of him, both as musicians and audiences, and are eager to share them with you over a glass of wine and canapés. You can also take a stroll in the Gardens of the Muses and visit Rudolf’s final resting place.
