About the programme
Every June the Society marked Rudolf Kempe’s birthday (14 June 1910) with a concert at The Muses. Kempe was one of the great Strauss conductors of his time, and in 2014 the birthday concert was given over entirely to Strauss’s music, played by the young musicians of the Society’s own Young Artists Platform.
